Try not to capture an overcast sky when taking pictures. Showing too much gray sky in photos will make pictures appear muted. Black and white photos can work great for an overcast sky. Blue skies look magnificent in photographs; however, you will still need to take light into consideration.
Blur the background of shots with people in them just a little bit. When your background is not blurred, it will take the attention from your subject, and you will have a harder time making the viewer focus on what you want. The easiest way to do this is to increase the distance between subject and background.
