Photography is something that appeals to a lot of different people. Unfortunately, many people avoid pursuing their interest in photography because they feel intimidated.

Make your subject feel comfortable, especially if you don’t know them. Some people may feel threatened by the person taking their photograph, making them uneasy. Be sociable and down-to-earth, start a conversation with them, and politely ask if it’s okay for you to photograph them. You can help them to see that photography is the art of capturing memories, and not an invasion of their personal privacy.
